Jarred is a passionate filmmaker with knowledge and experience across the industry. Starting out in television, Jarred shot for Espresso Morning show, Afternoon express, the Insider SA, Tropika Island of Treasure, Wats die Okasie, Taste Master SA, Colour your plate with Koo and other shows. Gathering experience in reality TV and Lifestyle TV, across content covering events, weddings, architecture, interviews, game shows and travel, and working for clients such as Capitec, Samsung, Woolworths, Lipton, Clover, Deep Heat, Island Tribe, Nivea, Tropika and Koo. He then went on to work as a cinematographer and camera operator for Russ Cook, Aka “The Hardest Geezer”, on his world record breaking run across the length of Africa. Shooting bi weekly YouTube videos, directing and DOPing content, whilst living in a van, for the documentary, as well as producing and shooting integrated adverts and content for the missions sponsors and supporters, such as Perfect Ted, Huel, Surf Shark, Intel and Match of the Day. Jarred now works as a full time freelance filmmaker, specialising in travel, documentary, talking heads, reality tv and advertising work. In Jarred’s freelance career, he has completed work for the UN Women and Audi/VW South Africa, as well as working on documentaries, educational content, weddings, advertising, live productions and reality tv shows.
